Adam Milne Ruled Out The Hundred 2022

After Adam Milne was ruled out of the Hundred due to an Achilles injury, Birmingham Phoenix signed Ben Dwarshuis as an overseas player.
Milne was one of Phoenix’s standout performances in the first season of the league and was the joint-topper of the list of wicket-takers with 12 and with the best economy (0.95 runs per ball) of any bowler.
The fast bowler last played in the IPL in March, and he missed New Zealand’s white-ball tour of Europe due to the same issue.

Ben Dwarshuis Is A Good Addition To The Squad
Dwarshuis, an Australia left-armer who earned his first cap earlier this year in Pakistan, had previously played county cricket for Worcestershire.
The 28-year-old is expected to come from Australia on Monday and will join the side in time for Friday’s home fixture against the Northern Superchargers at Edgbaston.
Dwarshuis, who was born in Kareela, New South Wales, will give a left-arm option to a bowling attack that has helped the team win two of its first three games.
Dwarshuis, a T20 international and Big Bash League regular for Sydney Sixers, also played in the T20 Blast with Worcestershire last year. In 83 T20 matches, he has 117 wickets.

“We’re really pleased to be able to recruit such an experienced fast bowler in Ben. Naturally, we’re disappointed that Adam couldn’t feature for us this year, but Ben will add a left-arm option to our exciting group,” Craig Flindall, Birmingham Phoenix general manager, said.
Adam Milne, a lanky right-arm fast bowler, made his first-class debut as an 18-year-old in 2009-10, grabbing a wicket with his second ball and ended with 4 for 52 against Canterbury. Because of the injury to Jacob Oram, Michael Mason was called up to the New Zealand team. But since his debut, he has been struggling with injuries.
