Adil Rashid goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

England star Adil Rashid has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. The veteran spinner has played for two teams in the IPL so far - Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

While Rashid has been one of the best spinners in international cricket in the last decade or so, he has not managed to make an impact in the IPL. Adil is currently the number one T20I bowler in the world and will be hoping to get an IPL contract this year.

He made his debut in the tournament in 2021 while playing for Punjab Kings. In his first season, the World Cup-winning bowler played only one game. In IPL 2023, he played 2 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad and picked up 2 wickets. In the 2024 auction, he failed to attract any bids.

Adil is one of the most decorated T20I spinners in the world. In 119 games so far, he has picked up 126 wickets. No England player has more T20I wickets than him. Overall, Rashid has played 316 T20s and picked up 354 wickets.
