Afghanistan will take on Bangladesh in the third of the three-match ODI series. This article provides details about Afghanistan's Playing 11 vs Bangladesh for the third match of the series.

Afghanistan Playing XI vs Bangladesh- 3rd ODI, Afghanistan vs Bangladesh 2025:

Openers: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Ibrahim Zadran

Regardless of the win in the previous match, Afghanistan would want to deliver a much-improved performance, especially with the bat, in the final game of the ODI series against Bangladesh.

Having said that, Afghanistan would be happy with the way experienced batter Ibrahim Zadran batted in his innings of 95 runs and held one end up, which gave the team something to bowl at.

The captain and management would hope for Zadran to keep up the good work in the third ODI as well.

Zadran's opening partner, Gurbaz, on the other hand, is struggling for form in the last few matches across formats and would want to get some runs under his belt to close out the series and gain confidence for the matches to come.

The duo would also hope to get the team off to a strong start and provide a platform for the incoming batters.

If both batters can play the first ten overs with a good mix of caution and aggression, they will be able to create pressure on the opposition bowlers.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli, Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan

The opening duo of Gurbaz and Zadran would want the middle-order batters to capitalize on the platform provided by them.

The Afghan middle order, which comprises Sediqullah Atal, Hashmatullah Shahidi, and Azmatullah Omarzai, would back itself to do that.

Afghanistan will change with Rahmat Shah ruled out of the final game due to an injury, with Darwish Rasooli expected to replace him.

The Afghans would be better off approaching their batting innings more traditionally, rather than going for their shots right from the first ball, which they tried to do in the previous match.

The reason is that the likes of Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli, and Azmatullah Omarzai can change gears even if they get off to a slow start.

To add to that, the Afghan team bats deep and has an in-form bowling lineup, which compensates if the team fails to post an above-par total.

Bowlers: Nangeyalia Kharote, AM Ghazanfar, Bashir Ahmad

The Afghans would like to do more of what they have done in the first two matches, which was to pick wickets at regular intervals.

Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side would once again bank on their spinners to come good like they did in the second game while defending a small total.

The responsibility will be on Rashid Khan to lead the Afghan bowling attack, being one of the most experienced bowlers along with Mohammad Nabi.

Rashid and Nabi will be supported by Nangeyalia Kharote and Ghazanfar, both of whom also fulfilled their role while bowling in the middle overs in the previous match, and would wish to build on it.
