Afghanistan Playing XI vs Bangladesh- 3rd T20I, Afghanistan vs Bangladesh 2025:

Openers: Sediqullah Atal, Ibrahim Zadran

Afghanistan would like to end the three-match series against Bangladesh on a positive note by winning the third and final game of the series to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 5.

Rashid Khan would like his batters to have a good outing in the upcoming game, which hasn't been the case in the series so far.

The failure of the batters to put on an above-par total is one of the reasons why the home side hasn't been able to put on an above-par total on the board.

The captain would hope for the batters to correct the mistakes they made in the first and second T20Is. One of them is to bat according to the situation.

To elaborate on the above-mentioned information, the top five batters of the Afghan team have been out in an attempt to take on the bowlers.

The likes of Sediqullah Atal and Ibrahim Zadran, who are also the openers, will have to take more responsibility at the top of the order and convert starts that they get into big scores to ensure that Afghanistan get off to a solid start.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Darwish Rasooli, Wafiullah Tarakhil, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Abdullah Ahmadzai, Rashid Khan(c)

The opening duo will be followed by a middle order that includes a good blend of young and experienced batters like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Darwish Rasooli, Wafiullah Tarakhil, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Mohammad Nabi.

Although Afghanistan bat till number nine, that depth hasn't been of great use to them, as the top and middle order haven't been able to provide a platform for the lower order batters to capitalize on.

As a result, the Afghans have crawled their way to what can be considered as just par total in the first two matches and have lost the matches on both occasions.

The onus would be on the top five batters to score the bulk of the team's runs while batting first or while chasing.

Bowlers: Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman

The Afghan bowling line-up tried its best to restrict the Bangladeshi batters from chasing the target of 148 runs set by the team's batters, but were not able to do so.

Having said that, the bowling, which comprised the likes of Rashid Khan, Azmatullah Omarzai, Noor Ahmad, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, ran Bangladesh close as the visitors lost wickets at regular intervals but got over the line in the end.

The defence was led by Azmatullah Omarzai, who picked up four wickets and was supported by other bowlers, all of whom chipped in with valuable contributions.

Despite a loss in the previous match, the captain and the team management would bank on the bowlers to come good in the final game of the series.
