Ambati Rayudu brutally trolled the Royal Challengers Bengaluru with his latest Instagram post following RCB's exit from IPL 2024.
RCB lost to Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets in the Eliminator match at the Narendra Modi stadium and exited the tournament after a fairytale run. It was for the second time in 3 seasons that Bengaluru got eliminated from the play-offs and now they will have to wait until next year to try to win the richest T20 league in the world.
What did Ambati Rayudu post on Instagram?
Ambati Rayudu took to Instagram earlier today to brutally troll the RCB with a video of the Chennai Super Kings' IPL 2023 title-winning celebration. In the video, Ravindra Jadeja can be seen sitting along with Ajinkya Rahane on the team bus with the All-rounder making hand gestures of 5 and also pronouncing 5.
Your daily dose of cricket!
Ajinkya Rahane was also flashing 5 on the camera and was constantly laughing in sheer joy. Ruturaj Gaikwad, too, was enjoying the celebration while Moeen Ali and Devon Conway were also sinking at the moment. Although Ambati Rayudu did not appear in the video, he might have been sitting somewhere the bus.
Rayudu captioned the video by writing, "Just a gentle reminder from the 5-time champions. Sometimes a gentle reminder is required." What Ambati Rayudu did with this video was target the RCB team which was celebrating wildly after knocking the 5-time champions out of IPL 2024 in their last league game.
Virat Kohli was seen celebrating the wicket of MS Dhoni and the other players, too, forgot to show decency in their celebration. The joy went so out of hand that RCB forgot that Dhoni was playing his final IPL game and that they should give a send-off a bit mannerly.
Many pundits even asked if RCB had won the IPL title after looking at the celebrations. And after Bengaluru lost their game against Rajasthan Royals yesterday, Ambati Rayudu had taken a dig. He claimed that a team doesn't win trophies with aggression or wild celebrations but a team wins a trophy by playing very good cricket.
Bengaluru's batting order flopped and their bowling line-up wasn't up to the mark either. The bowlers lacked lethality in terms of claiming wickets regularly and eventually the margin of win was the last 4-wickets.
What next for RCB?
While the RCB players will now be moving on to the next challenges this year, the team management will be staying in touch to prepare for next season. The biggest test before they get to the field to play will be the mega IPL 2025 auctions, possibly later this year.
The management will have to figure out the player they want to retain and want to build the team around. Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj are the two obvious names to be retained, it will be interesting to see if they retain skipper Faf du Plessis next season.
After commentary jibe, Ambati Rayudu does this on Instagram to infuriate RCB fans
