“This evening, cricketer Mr. Mayank Agarwal was transported from the MBB Airport Agartala to ILS Hospitals Agartala. He was experiencing some oral irritation and swelling on his lips. For now, he’s clinically stable and is being constantly clinically monitored,” said ILS Hospital in their statement.

The 32-year-old batter encountered throat discomfort during a New Delhi-bound flight from Agartala, prompting the need for urgent medical attention. The Karnataka captain was admitted to a local hospital in Tripura’s capital for immediate care on Tuesday, January 30.

The exact cause behind the issue for Mayank remains unknown, as law enforcement authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. It happened as the team was gearing up to travel to Rajkot for an upcoming match against Saurashtra.
