Ajinkya Rahane Bought By Kolkata Knight Riders For INR 1.50 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Out-of-favour India batsman Ajinkya Rahane has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 1.5 crore. The right-handed batsman played for Chennai Super Kings in the last season of the IPL.
He has represented as many as six teams in the IPL so far. Ajinkya's IPL journey began with Mumbai Indians in 2008. He played two seasons for the Mumbai Indians. Ahead of the 2011 season, he was signed up by Rajasthan Royals.
Ajinkya finally announced his arrival in the IPL in 2012 when he scored 560 runs in 16 games with the help of a century and three half-centuries. He scored heavily for the Royals till 2015 when the franchise was suspended for a couple of seasons.
In 2016 and 2017, Ajinkya Rahane played for the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant. He once again returned to Rajasthan Royals in 2018 and played two more seasons for them. In 2020 and 2021, he was a part of the Delhi Capitals team.
In 2022, he played for Kolkata Knight Riders before representing Chennai Super Kings in the last two seasons of the IPL. Overall, Rahane has played 185 games so far and has scored 4642 runs with the help of two centuries and 30 half-centuries.
