Ajinkya Rahane Named Captain Of West Zone, Karan Sharma To Lead Central In Duleep Trophy

Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane regained full fitness and will return to the competitive setup to lead West Zone in the upcoming Duleep Trophy scheduled in Tamil Nadu from September 8-25.

The squad includes as many as six players from the Mumbai side that made it to the finals of the Ranji Trophy last season. Rahul Tripathi was added to the squad following a great IPL 2022 season.

The 25-year-old Shams Mulani is also part of the squad after ending as the highest wicket-taker in the Ranji Trophy. Venkatesh Iyer has been named as part of the Central Zone squad.
