Alex Carey goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

Australia star Alex Carey has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 1 crore. The 33-year-old is a wicketkeeper-batsman and has played for only one team in the IPL so far.

In the 2020 auction, he was bought by Delhi Capitals. In his debut season, Carey played 3 games for Delhi Capitals and could score only 32 runs. He has not played in the IPL since 2020. Carey, however, has ample T20 experience.

He has been playing in the Big Bash League since 2016 and has also plied his trade in the T20 Blast. Talking about his T20 record, he has played 108 games so far and has scored 2387 runs with the help of two centuries and 13 half-centuries.

Carey has also been playing international cricket since 2018 and has represented Australia in all three formats. So far, he has played 32 Tests, 76 ODIs and 38 T20Is.
