England Cricket Team is on a roll as the team has had a successful home season. The hosts defeated New Zealand, India & South Africa and made a statement that the team is not a finished product. Stuart Broad has been magnificent so far as the veteran fast bowler has gone past Legendary Glenn McGrath’s tally of 563 Test wickets.
The veteran fast bowler has been impeccable with his line and length. Broad knows that he is at the back end of his career and he is making sure that he makes it count. England Cricket Team has been a force to reckon with under the leadership of Captain Ben Stokes & Coach Brendon McCullum where both have transformed Test Cricket into an entertaining one.
Stuart Broad on playing Ashes 2023
Stuart Broad was seen saying in his Mail on Sunday column. “I am always someone who has needed new challenges and I’ve always maintained that if I’m not working on something …my training becomes stale, and I become stale as a competitive sports person,” said Broad
He was asked about Ashes 2023.” It has left me excited about the rest of my England career. And that doesn’t mean looking ahead to next year’s Ashes. We’ve made that mistake before. (McCullum) actually has a saying ‘let’s play where your feet are,’ and that’s been such a strength of ours all summer,” he stated.
“We’ve stayed in the moment. So all I am thinking about is entering the next test match I play, the fittest I’ve ever been. At 36, that’s quite a big thing to say,” Broad added.
England Cricket Team on a Roll
The duo of James Anderson & Stuart Broad is still doing wonders for the Test team. Anderson in an interview had said that he would like to continue for a couple of years more which would be exciting for the World Cricket. It’s fascinating to see that the pace attack is still led by two greats of the Game.
Due to Broad’s resurgence, there is no added responsibility on Anderson. At the same time, ECB should be realistic and make sure that one of the pacer’s workload is managed as England doesn’t have that many resources available at the moment which is the harsh reality of England Test Cricket.
