Australia is all set to clash against India in February for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. This Test Series is quite important for both teams as most likely the finalists for World Test Championship (WTC) 2023. Australia is currently at the top of the standings whereas India is placed in 4th position with 52.08%.

The Australian Cricket Team is going to play a Test Series in India after 2017. The Men in Blue had won the Test Series by 2-1 where there was a riveting contest between the two sides. The Men in Blue have been quite invincible at home as they haven’t lost a Test Series in India for a decade.

Ashton Agar on Test Recall

Ashton Agar was having an interaction with reporters and was asked about the India Test tour. “I still have a desire to play red-ball cricket. I would love to be part of the India Test tour,” said Agar.

“I think all the skills are there. I have enough experience to shift formats quickly, But getting your body right and building your bowling loads up to bowl for a long period of time… it’s just a different battle.
“I have had a couple of decent side strains recently, which I have to be a little wary of. So just taking that extra care on your body and trying to be as professional as you can is probably the key going forward,” he concluded.

Exciting Contest on Cards

Indian Cricket Team would be well aware of the fact that Australia would be looking for revenge as India has won back-to-back Test Series in Australia. The Men in Blue has found a lot of match-winners on the given day as they would be aiming to continue the winning run.

Australia on the other hand, would be banking on Smith & Warner as both the batters are not immensely experienced but they were a part of the 2013 & 2017 tours. It would be interesting to see whether Australia goes for 2 spinner attack or go with Cameron Green as Indian pitches are quite spin-friendly.
