Australia women team’s batter and wife of men team’s fast-bowler Mitchell Starc, Alyssa Healy, on Monday, came up with a fine reply on Twitter when an user mocked her husband’s performance in the ongoing Test series between India and Australia.

Mitchell Starc has failed to live up to the expectations and has looked like a pale shadow of his usual self in the series. He started the series on a good note and picked up 4 wickets in the first innings of the series-opener. Since then, everything has gone downhill for him. The left-arm pacer picked up a total of 4 wickets in the second Test before managing just two wickets in the third Test.

In the ongoing Test, Starc took two wickets in the first innings. And with Starc failing to deliver as per expectations, the user took a dig at his performance by comparing it to that of Mohammed Siraj’s who is playing his debut Test series. The India pacer made his debut in the second Test after a wrist injury ruled Mohammed Shami out of the series.

Siraj has grabbed his opportunity with both the hands and has picked up 13 wickets in the series, one more than Starc’s tally. The right-arm pacer finished the series by picking up a five-wicket haul in the second innings of the ongoing Test at the Gabba. And soon after Siraj overtook Starc in the wickets tally, the user took to Twitter to poke some fun at the Australian pacer by writing:

“Lmao Siraj has more wickets than Starc in this series.”

Alyssa Healy was quick to notice the tweet and replied immediately as she made it clear that Siraj deserves praise for his ability and effort, writing:

“Why’s it funny?! Reflects Siraj’s ability and reward for effort..”

Another user then took another dig at Starc by responding to Alyssa Healy’s tweet with: “According to you.. Either Starc has no ability or he isn’t putting enough efforts”

In reply, she wrote:

“Actually no. I’m giving credit to a young Indian bowler who’s had an incredible series and should be praised for his efforts!”
