Any Of Us Will Happily Take A Bullet For MS Dhoni: KL Rahul

Former Indian skipper and legendary wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni-led Team India for close to ten years during which he experienced the zenith and nadir in equal proportions but one thing which remained constant throughout his tenure was the amount of trust and respect his teammates had for him.
Dhoni was truly a born leader; someone who would trust and back his players to the hilt and someone who would take the onus when the going got tough.
Time and again several cricketers who played under Dhoni have heaped high praise on the champion leader and the latest to join the list is the stylish opener, KL Rahul.
In a recent interview with Forbes India, KL Rahul said that the first name that comes to his mind when someone mentions the word ‘captain’ is MS Dhoni.
“The minute anyone says ‘captain’, the first name that comes into anybody’s mind from our generation, our era, will be MS Dhoni,” said KL Rahul.
Rahul further added that Dhoni may have won a lot of tournaments but his biggest achievement as captain was the trust and respect that he won from his players.
The Indian opener added that any player that has played under MSD will willingly take a bullet for him.
“We have all played a lot of cricket under him. Yes, he has won a lot of big tournaments and done so many amazing things for the country but the biggest achievement any captain can have is have the respect of your teammates and any of us will happily take a bullet for him without a second thought,” said KL Rahul during an exclusive interview with Forbes India.
And, it’s the level-headedness and commitment of MSD towards his team that inspires KL Rahul the most.
“One thing I have learnt from him is how humble he has been through ups and down; how he has always put his country over everything else is just unbelievable,” he added.
