Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh publicly apologized to the bowling coach Morne Morkel for having bowled repeated extras during the second T20I in New Chandigarh, which gave a wrong impression of the bowling coach and his strategies.

After Indian bowlers had done a remarkable job in Dharamsala, the Indian bowling coach and the two pacers who were the stars of the evening decoded India's spectacular bowling, which helped them bring India back into the series with a lead.

The relation between the bowlers and the former South African speedster turned Indian bowling coach seems very friendly. They joked and giggled but also apologized, which showed the immense respect they had for the coach and his perspective.

Arshdeep Singh publicly apologises to Morne Morkel for 'wide-balls' in New Chandigarh

Arshdeep Singh bounced back after a humiliating show in New Chandigarh, where he had lost control and bowled the longest over of his career, with seven wides. Every time the bowler fumbled, the cameras were focused on the bowler.

"After the last game, Morne told me that I had given him a lot of screen time, since every time I was bowling a wide ball, the cameras turned to the bowling coach," said Arshdeep Singh.

"Maybe people got the wrong idea that he (Morne Morkel) did not give the right strategies or did not practice enough with the bowlers," Arshdeep Singh concluded.

Arshdeep Singh also said that had the former South African fast bowler been playing, he would not have made it to the XI.

"Had the bowling coach been playing on this wicket, I would not have made it to the XI," Arshdeep claimed.

"I got to know at 12 midnight that I am playing tomorrow's game" - Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana replaced Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian Playing XI for the third T20I against South Africa. Rana said that he did not have any information about featuring in the playing XI till very late in the midnight.

"I got to know at 12 midnight that I am playing tomorrow's game," claimed Harshit Rana. It might be Jasprit Bumrah's sudden unavailability due to personal reasons that Harshit Rana was named in the playing XI.

"The amount of height he has and the amount of bounce he gets off the track, he would have surely hit the batters on such a bouncy track," said Harshit Rana.

"All they saw was me on the screen," said Morne Morkel

The Indian bowling coach has always been in the spotlight whenever India struggled to ace with the ball. Morne Morkel was also the centre piece of the second T20I, when the cameras kept him in focus during Arshdeep's spells. Morkel claimed that he got texts from players claiming he was the only man visible on the screen during the match.

"I have recently received a lot of messages from players with the 50-over squad that I pay for my own private channel, because all they saw was me on the screen," said Morne Morkel.
