Arshdeep Singh and Samreen Kaur share heartwarming moment
Samreen Kaur posted an Instagram story on 25th July, while Arshdeep Singh is on a break from the India team and enjoying his holidays with his rumoured girlfriend. He has been rested for the three-match T20I tour against Zimbabwe after featuring in the Ireland and England tours. The two have been enjoying their couple time before Arshdeep comes back in action.
Previously, there were rumours that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram and got separated, but all those speculations came to an end on Saturday when they were seen together, and also the fans later noted they remained connected on the platform.
Arshdeep Singh's recent form
Arshdeep was the highest wicket-taker in the 4-0 defeat to the England National Cricket Team in the T20I series. The left-arm seamer picked four wickets in four matches with an economy of over 9. He featured in just the third and final ODI match, with Jasprit Bumrah ruled out, and failed to pick up a wicket, going for 72 runs.
Arshdeep will be next in action in September as India will face West Indies in a 5-match T20I series and might also be in the squad for the three-match ODI series. He will look to pick wickets in the white-ball games and give selectors a chance to pick him for the 2027 World Cup next year.
Kris Srikkanth takes dig at Arshdeep Singh
Former India captain and chief selector Kris Srikkanth has shared blunt views on Arshdeep’s chance of featuring in the 15-man squad of the ODI World Cup 2027. The former opener believes that the 27-year-old speedster should not be in contention for the forthcoming mega event in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Kris Srikkanth stated that he started well with the new ball but was smacked all over the park by the England batters across the T20I series and also in the third match at Lord’s.
"Arshdeep Singh is not fit for the 50-over format. The ball doesn't swing after two overs and he's proficient only when there is movement. Even in T20 cricket in England, he bowls an impressive first over. But after 1.1 overs, the batters absolutely tear him apart to all corners of the ground. So he shouldn't be considered for ODIs."
Arshdeep made his debut four years back in 2022 against New Zealand and has picked 30 wickets in 18 ODI games with an economy under 6.
