Australia have regained the Ashes 2021-22 series by winning the first three Tests. England managed to draw the fourth Test while the fight to win the fifth Test in on in Hobart. Australia are leading by 152 at stumps on day 2 after finishing the day on 37/3.

The former Australian openers was one of the most feared batsmen across formats. He still holds the record for the highest scorer by an Australian in Test cricket. Hayden also bagged 14 ducks in his Test career. The most by any Australian opener in the history of Test cricket.

David Warner-11

Warner bagged a duck in the second innings of the Hobart Test. This was also the 11th duck of his Test career. He started the Ashes series with a couple of 90s in the series and then fell off the radar. The southpaw thus ends the series with 273 runs from five innings at a strike rate of 50.74 and an average of 34.12.

Michael Slater-9

Slater played 74 Tests for Australia and bagged nine ducks in them. He made his debut against England in 1993 and played his last Test in 2001. SLater scored 14 hundreds and 21 fifties in his career. He now is a celebrated commentator in the Australian cricket circuit. He is available for commentary during the IPL as well.

Former Australian opener and current coach of the side Justin Langer bagged seven ducks as an opener in Test cricket. Langer was a part of the Australian side under Ricky Ponting which was almost more unbeatable at home.
He took over as the coach of the Australia cricket team after the sandpaper gate scandal and has helped the team rise through the Ashes. The recent Ashes series win against England remains one of his notable achievements as Australia coach.
Graeme Wood-7

Wood is the last name in this elite list of Australians with most ducks as Test openers. He played for Australia between the 70-80s. Wood played 59b Test and 83 ODIs scoring 5593 international runs. This included seven ducks as a designated Australian Test opener.
