Ashutosh Sharma has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 30 lakh. He is a right-handed batsman and is known for his six-hitting skill.
The 26-year-old made his debut in the IPL in 2024 and hit the ground running. He impressed one and all with his ability to hit sixes. In IPL 2024, he plied his trade for Punjab Kings.
In an otherwise disappointing season for the Punjab-based outfit, Ashutosh was one of the very few positives for the team.
He played 11 games and hit 15 sixes. Against Mumbai Indians, he had famously swept Jasprit Bumrah for a six over deep backward square-leg. In his first IPL season, Ashutosh scored 189 runs at a strike rate of more than 165.
In domestic cricket, he represents Railways. He has played 8 first-class games and 7 List-A games. In the last edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he caught the attention of the Indian cricketing fraternity by hitting an 11-ball fifty against Arunachal Pradesh.
