The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) has said that Baba Azam, the national team skipper, is happy with the hike in payments made in the central contracts of players, as per Cricket Pakistan. He is also believed to be taken into confidence by the PCB.

Reports further say that a necessary arrangement has been made to the national cricket players’ new central contracts. An announcement regarding the same will be made shortly. Usman Wahla, the Director International of the Pakistan Cricket Board, recently held a meeting with Babar Azam in Sri Lanka and expressed confidence in him.

Sources further say that all financial differences have been settled. However, a matter related to the sponsorship deal is still pending. The board has set a conflict of interest rule for the players. According to the rule, anyone who might conflict with their sponsors cannot make their own sponsorship deal for any series. For example, if a bank is the main sponsor of a series, players can’t make a deal with a different bank.

After the players protested to the same, the PCB made a new amendment to the rule. Now the players can make their personal deals with other sponsors after getting permission from the PCB. Although the players have not responded yet to the same, it is expected that they will be flexible in this regard.
