Virat Kohli is an inspiration for budding cricketers as well as professional cricketers around the world and Nepal wicketkeeper Arjun Saud is no exception either. Ahead of representing Nepal in the historic Asia Cup, the 20-year old from Nepal has revealed that he too idolizes Virat Kohli and hailed him as the best in the world.
Virat Kohli is widely regarded as one of the best batsmen of all times especially in white-ball formats. No other active cricketer has scored as many runs and centuries as him in international cricket at present. Virat Kohli is well above the rest as of now.
He has represented India in more than 500 international games so far and has scored more than 25000 runs across formats. The former India skipper has also smashed a staggering 76 centuries and 131 half-centuries in international cricket. No wonder, cricketers around the world idolize him.
As far as Arjun Saud is concerned, he is not only impressed by Virat Kohli’s exploits on the field but also how he carries himself off the field. Speaking to News24 Sports, the Nepal wicketkeeper pointed out Virat Kohli’s commitment for his family. The youngster said that he wants to learn to take care of his family members from Virat Kohli.
“I am a big fan of Virat Kohli, and there’s a reason why he is the best in the world. We also see how much he loves his mother and how he takes care of everyone like a family man. The way he carries himself off the field, that’s what I want to learn from him. His family must have made so many sacrifices for him and I want to learn how he looks after everyone,” said Arjun Saud.
