Asia Cup 2023: ‘It Was A Wonderful Experience’ - Roger Binny Thanks PCB For Hospitality

BCCI President Roger Binny thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for their hospitality during their stay in Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023. Roger Binny also said it was a wonderful experience.

PCB invited BCCI chief Roger Binny for some other BCCI officials to watch Asia Cup 2023 games on its soil. Pakistan is one of the hosts of Asia Cup 2023. A total of 4 games out of 13 were scheduled to be played in Pakistan. The rest games were hosted in Sri Lanka.

Roger Binny Thanks PCB For Hospitality

During the dinner at the Governor’s house, BCCI chief Roger Binny thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board for their hospitality during Asia Cup 2023. Binny also called his Pakistan trip a wonderful experience.

“I would like to thank the Pakistan Cricket Board for the invitation to tonight’s programme. I bring you greetings from the BCCI, and from the cricket lovers of India.

“As your Excellency said that India-Pakistan is one of the biggest games that is played. I can tell you, sir. When India plays Pakistan, everything comes to a standstill,” ANI quoted Roger Binny as saying.

Roger Binny also elaborated how India vs Pakistan matches are one of the most watched cricket games. He also explained how big cricket is in countries like India and Pakistan.

“People don’t work, the roads are empty. Everybody’s in front of the television watching cricket. That’s how big cricket is in India and Pakistan. I must thank the Pakistan Cricket Board for its hospitality from the time we crossed the border this afternoon. It was a wonderful experience,” Binny further added.

Roger Binny and other BCCI officials will watch one more game in Pakistan. Meanwhile, the India vs Pakistan match of Asia Cup 2023 was washed out due to rain. However, India and Pakistan reached the Super Four round from Group B.

Both of them defeated Nepal to qualify for the next round. India and Pakistan will now face each other on September 10. From Group B, the final two teams are yet to be finalized. The Asia Cup 2023 final takes place on September 17.
