Asia Cup 2023: Nepal Squad For Asia Cup 2023 Announced, Rohit Paudel To Lead

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), on Monday (August 14), announced the Nepal squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The highly-awaited tournament is scheduled to be played from August 30 to September 17 in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Nepal are gearing up to make their debut in the continental championship. Earlier this year, they beat UAE in the ACC Premier Cup final to book their spot in the Asia Cup 2023. A total of six teams will be participating in the upcoming event. The six teams have been divided into two groups of three teams each.
Nepal are in Group A with cricket giants India and Pakistan. Reigning champions Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are in Group B. Nepal will be in action on the very first day of Asia Cup 2023 when they lock horns against hosts Pakistan in Multan.
Nepal squad for Asia Cup 2023:
Rohit Paudel will lead Nepal in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. CAN has announced a 17-member Nepal squad for the tournament. The onus will be on experienced players like Paudel, Sandeep Lamichhane, Dipendra Singh Airee, and others to deliver for Nepal in the tournament.
CAN also announced that Nepal will have a week-long preparatory camp in Pakistan where they will play against the Pakistan Cricket Board designated teams to prepare for Asia Cup. They recently competed in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. Nepal played three matches in the tournament and won one of them.
