Veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar Bhuvneshwar Kumar suggested an alternative career to his teammate Virat Kohli had he not been a cricketer. Bhuvneshwar Kumar humorously said that Virat Kohli could’ve taken the WWE as an alternative profession.

Virat Kohli was rested for the five-match T20I series against the West Indies. The 34-year-old is expected to return to action in the upcoming Asia Cup. His form will play a pivotal role in Team India’s hopes of winning titles in the upcoming multinational tournaments.

Speaking at the CEAT awards in Mumbai on Monday, August 21, Bhuvneshwar Kumar said that Virat would have been a wrestler if he was not a cricketer.

“He would have been a wrestler if he was not a cricketer,” Bhuvneshwar was quoted as saying in media reports.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar also teased Virat about his bowling action, saying that team members fear he might get injured due to his unique action.

“Virat Kohli thinks he’s the best bowler in the team. We’re always scared when he bowls as he could get injured due to his bowling action,” Kumar said.

Virat scored 46 centuries in ODI cricket, four away from surpassing Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s (49) record for the most ODI centuries. The right-handed batter is expected to break the record before the end of this year.

Sharma And Virat Kohli Can Roll Their Arms – Rohit Sharma

Speaking at the press conference on Monday, August 21, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma gave a witty reply on part-time bowling options, saying that he and Kohli can bowl if needed.

“Hopefully, Sharma and Virat Kohli can roll their arms over in the World Cup (laughs),” Rohit told reporters.

India will start their campaign in the World Cup 2023 with a match against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, October 8. The Rohit Sharma-led team will lock horns with Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14.
