Ahead of the blockbuster India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2025 on September 15, legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh’s father and former cricketer Yograj Singh has made a bold statement. The former Indian cricketer has fired an open warning to the Pakistanis who are making big statements without making any serious effort to improve their game.
Yograj Singh has openly offered his coaching services to Pakistan despite the ongoing tension between the two countries. The former Indian cricketer even vowed to make a team that can win the World Cup.

India vs Pakistan match confirmed at Asia Cup 2025 amid controversy and tension
Meanwhile, the upcoming India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025 has become the center of intense debate, with many calling for a boycott following a Pahalgam terror attack in April.
A petition was even filed in India’s Supreme Court to stop the Asia Cup 2025 game with Pakistan, but the court refused to intervene urgently, giving the green signal for the match to take place as planned on Sunday in Dubai, UAE.

On the field, India has shown strong form, kicking off their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a convincing nine-wicket win over the UAE. However, the clash against Pakistan carries extra tension due to recent events.
In the World Championship of Legends 2025, the India vs Pakistan game had to be abandoned when several former Indian players refused to face the archrivals.
What will happen if India boycotts the Pakistan match?
On the other hand, India is currently leading Group A with 2 points and a huge Net Run Rate of +10.483. Pakistan will play Oman on September 12, and their result could make changes in the points table. A win for Pakistan could push them to first or second, depending on the margin.
If India boycotts the scheduled match against Pakistan, the Men in Green would move to the top with 4 points. However, if Pakistan loses to Oman, India could retain the top spot despite a forfeit, as their current NRR is strong enough to withstand the hit.
