The fourth game of the Ashes 2023 is currently taking place at Old Trafford in Manchester. England has bossed the game so far and the ongoing Day 3 of the game is no different. One of the best moments of the game came in from the pace spare head James Anderson with the bat.
England took the ultra-aggressive approach on Day 3 in an attempt to extend their lead. They lost wickets at regular intervals as well but have been scoring runs around the rate of 6. After Australia took 9 English wickets, they tried to put pressure on No.11 James Anderson.
James Anderson however came prepared and was up for the fight equally well. The Australians tried the short ball ploy on him it seemed that they would take his wicket early. But one of the finest shots of the game came in the 103rd over from the bat of the premier England pacer.
Pat Cummins bowled a short ball and James Anderson charged down the wicket and timed his pull shot to perfection towards the square leg area. His shot caught many by surprise and even skipper Ben Stokes was in awe of it, giving a surprising reaction.
Here’s the video of Ben Stokes’ reaction to James Anderson smashing Pat Cummins:
