Pakistan Played Better Than The Other Team – Mohammad Hafeez
After the match, Mohammad Hafeez asserted that Pakistan outperformed the opposition, expressing pride in the team’s collective cricketing efforts. Hafeez acknowledged that poor umpiring and technology cost them the match.
“We played better cricket as a team. I’m proud of that. The way the team had the courage to attack this game in the best possible way. If I sum up the game, the Pakistan team played better than the other team in general. Our batting intent was better, and while bowling, we were hitting the right areas. Yes, we made some mistakes that cost us the game but as a team, I believe that there were a lot of positives, enough to win the game but unfortunately, at the end, we didn’t win the game,” Hafeez said, as quoted from ESPNcricinfo.

Iceland Cricket responded to Hafeez’s statement, questioning how the supposedly more talented team has lost 16 consecutive Test matches in Australia.
“It’s amazing. How can the more talented and superior team have lost 16 matches in a row in Australia? Surely those lucky Aussies will stop being lucky soon.”

Saim Ayub is set to earn his debut cap, replacing Imam-ul-Haq in the final Test. Vice-captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has been rested from the match to manage his workload. Afridi has bowled 99.2 overs in the series, more than all other players from both teams.
The Shan Masood-led team aims to break their Test match victory drought in Australia as they take on the Pat Cummins-led team in the New Year Test. It’s worth noting that Pakistan’s last Test match victory was in Australia back in 1995.
