AUS vs PAK: Watch- David Warner Teases Babar Azam, Asks The Pakistan Batter To Lift Weights
David Warner and Babar Azam shared a hilarious moment during the Boxing Day Test while players of both teams were celebrating Christmas. The second Test of the ongoing Benaud-Qadir series between Australia and Pakistan is currently going on at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Test is currently slightly in favor of Australia as they have a lead of more than 200 runs. Pakistan rattled the Australian top-order in the second innings reducing them to 16/4
However, Mithcell Marsh and Steve Smith added 153 runs for the fifth wicket. Mitchell Marsh missed out on a well-deserved century by just four runs as he was caught off Mir Hamza’s delivery while batting on 96. Steve Smith also crossed his half-century but departed for 50 off Shaheen Shah Afridi’s bouncer. After the third Day’s play, Australia is 241 runs ahead and is in a strong position
There are high chances of this game producing a result as there are still two complete days to play. Pakistan will be hoping to secure a win as they have not won a Test match in Australia since 1995. Australia on the other hand will hope to seal the series with a win at the MCG. They are already leading the series 1-0 after winning the first Test by a 360-run margin.
Players of both teams celebrated Christmas ahead of the Boxing Day Test and several videos of players enjoying and having fun times are being shared on social media. In one never-seen-before video that is now going viral on the internet, veteran Australian opener David Warner could be seen teasing Babar Azam and asking him to go to the gym and lift weights. In the viral clip, the 37-year-old Warner can be seen touching Babar’s biceps and making gestures with his hands, which indicates him advising Babar to lift weights.

The ongoing Benaud-Qadir series between the two teams has not been a memorable one for Babar Azam so far. Babar Azam has accumulated 36 runs in three innings played so far. On the other hand, David Warner started his farewell series with a blistering ton. The left-handed veteran scored 164 off 211 deliveries in the first innings of the series opener at the Optus Stadium in Perth. However, he failed to open his account in the second inning.
David Warner is Australia’s fifth-highest run-getter in Tests. He has scored 8695 runs at an average of 44.59 and is ahead of the likes of Michael Clarke and Matthew Hayden. David Warner has 26 centuries in Test cricket including three double hundreds and a triple century.
David Warner will retire from Test cricket after the completion of the Benaud-Qadir series. He will be playing his final Test on his home ground of Sydney. David Warner has been one of Australia’s modern-day greats and has contributed to his team in every format with the bat. He received a huge standing ovation from the MCG crowd after he got dismissed for six in the second innings of the ongoing second Test.
