Pakistan Pacer Hasan Ali was involved in a moment of joy with the Australian crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which is hosting the 2nd Test between Australia and Pakistan. Mid-way through the 3rd Day at MCG, Ali was seen doing exercise moves in front of the spectators inside the stadium who were also doing the same moves as the Pakistani bowler during the 53rd over of the 3rd Innings.
Hasan Ali’s act was somehow a carbon copy of Travis Head‘s moves on Day 2 when Pakistan were trying to cut down Australia’s 1st inning lead. Head was stretching his arms up and down with the crowd behind imitating him in a fun moment that enlightened all the viewers.
On Day 3 while Australia were trying to set up a 4th inning target for the visitors, Hasan Ali who was fielding near the boundary line, took the opportunity and decided to create another moment of fun, which is going viral all over social media.
The 29-year-old pacer was seen waving his arms right and left before doing a one-handed move which the spectators behind him mimicked and gave us another moment to remember from the 2023/24 3-match Test series between the 2 cricketing giants. Seeing Hasan Ali’s act, the commentators in the commentary box had a bright laugh.
It will be fair to say that the atmosphere inside the stadium got livelier after Hasan Ali gave us the moment in a tense situation in the middle. Australia were 170/5 at that time with Steve Smith and Alex Carey present at the crease.
Day 4 is going to be decisive in this Test match, especially for the visitors who are 1-0 down in the series. Shan Masood’s side suffered a crumbling 360-run defeat while trying to chase down a total of 450 at Perth’s Optus Stadium.

Following a decent batting performance in their 1st inning, no Pakistani Batter was even able to score 30 runs with Saud Shakeel being the only batter to score the most runs with 24. Their best batter Babar Azam is not even looking close to being in good form which was evident in his 2nd inning batting here at MCG where he was clean bowled by Pat Cummins for just 1 run off 7 balls.
Can Hasan Ali Change Pakistan’s Fate With The Ball On Day 4?
If we talk about Hasan Ali who was involved in a lively moment with the Australian crowd then his performance with the ball has been below par. After not being a part of the Pakistani team for the 1st Test at Perth, Hasan Ali came in for Faheem Ashraf for the 2nd Test.
In the 1st inning, Ali got the important wicket of Usman Khawaja 8 runs before he could complete his half-century for 42 while his 2nd wicket was tail-ender Nathan Lyon. However, in the 3rd inning, Hasan Ali hasn’t been able to get a single scalp until now after bowling 12 overs at an economy rate of just less than 3.
On Day 4, he would be expecting to get at least a wicket to get Australia out as soon as possible. The Baggy Greens are currently leading by 241 runs and went back to the pavilion for 187/6 at the end of Day 3.
