The 2024 Women's T20 World Cup will be ninth edition of the tournament. The tournament will be played in the United Arab Emirates although the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has the hosting rights.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be played in Bangladesh but the ICC was forced to shift the venue at the last moment due to political unrest in Bangladesh. The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played from 3 October to 20 October.
A total of ten teams are participating in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024. The ten teams have been divided into two groups. India, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka are in Group A while England, Bangladesh, Scotland, South Africa and West Indies are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals.
