AUS vs SA Today Match Prediction 2nd T20I- Who Will Win Today’s T20I Match? 2023. The AUS vs SA 2nd T20I match will be played in Durban on Friday, September 1, 2023. The match starts at 9.30 pm IST which is 6 pm local time. This is a must-win match for the hosts who lost the first T20I by 111 runs against Australia.

Australia scored a mammoth 226/5 in their first T20I. Mitchell Marsh on his T20I captaincy debut scored a magnificently unbeaten 92. Tim David scored 64 off 28 balls hitting as many as 11 boundary shots. Aaron Hardie on his T20I debut scored 23 off 14 balls.

The South African bowlers in the absence of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje took a beating. Every bowler leaked more than 10 runs per over. With the bat, their response was very weak. They were bundled out for just 115 in the AUS vs SA first T20I.

Australia will be led once again by Mitchell Marsh who is closing in on a T20I series win in his maiden stint as captain. Last-minute injuries to Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith have ruled them out of the series as well. Smith is recovering from a tendon injury to his left wrist, while Starc is ruled out with groin soreness. David Warner is also not a part of the T20I squad. He will return in the AUS vs SA ODI series.

Marnus Labuschagne replaces Smith in Australia’s ODI squad while Ashton Turner replaces him in the T20I squad. Spencer Johnson, who is already part of the T20I squad, replaces Starc in the Aussie ODI squad as well for the series.

South Africa will be led by Aiden Markram who has taken over T20I captaincy from Temba Bavuma. The Protean squad is a relatively inexperienced one with the senior players missing. The likes of Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, and Anrich Nortje are not a part of the T20I squad. They will make a comeback in the AUS vs SA ODI series.

South Africa are ranked fifth and Australia is sixth heading into this T20I series. A Protean win will make the series interesting while an Australian win in the second T20I after their performance in the first is a more expected one.
