The 33-year-old Australia National Cricket Team premier left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc rattled the stumps of the 34-year-old South Africa National Cricket Team explosive batsman David Miller in the 10th match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Thursday, October 12.
Miller looked good in the middle against the Aussies but he was unable to provide his side with a terrific finish. He smashed a good-looking four and a six during his innings, before getting dismissed in the last over of the innings. He scored 17 runs off 13 balls, before walking back to the pavilion.
Miller was bamboozled by a Mitchell Starc special as the left-arm pacer castled the swashbuckling batsman with a brilliant yorker.
On the 4th delivery of the 50th over, Starc bowled a yorker on middle stump and the ball beat Miller to slam into the base of stumps, leading to the celebration in the Australian camp. This was the 20th consecutive ODI World Cup game for Starc where he bagged at least one wicket.

The team that starts the best and adapts the best is going to be successful ??? Mitchell Starc
Speaking ahead of the match, Mitchell Starc talked about his preparations for the matches in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 and his role in the team. He elaborated:
???(Mental preparation) There???s a mixture between preparing for games and then recovering in between games. There might be shorter gaps. A lot of our guys played the series in South Africa.
???I kinda do the same thing all the time (with the new ball) in terms of my role for the team or my plans. It???s more about execution. It???s about playing that role as best as I can for the team.???
While talking about the conditions in Lucknow, Mitchell Starc said:
???(Today???s conditions) We???ve got Marcus and Andy who have been part of Lucknow. From their reports, the square has been relaid, so it???s a bit unknown for both teams. Looks a nice ground. Slightly bigger. The team that starts the best and adapts the best is going to be successful.???
Meanwhile, South Africa were able to post 311/7 on the board in 50 overs, thanks to wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock???s stunning ton and Aiden Markram???s stellar fifty.
