Australia and West Indies are set to square off in the 2nd and final Test of the West Indies tour of Australia 2024. AUS vs WI 2nd Test will be played at The Gabba in Brisbane. It will start on Thursday, January 25.

Led by Pat Cummins in the AUS vs WI Test series, the home team showcased an impeccable form in the opening game. The hosts won the match by a huge margin of 10 wickets. After winning the toss, Australia opted to bowl first.

Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood led the bowling attack in 1st innings, picking 4 wickets each. West Indies could not do much on Australian soil and were bowled out for just 188 with Kirk McKenzie scoring the most 50 runs.

Australia bounced back in the 2nd innings with the ball, bundling out West Indies for just 120 runs. This time too, Kirk McKenzie hit the most 26 runs for the team. However, it wasn’t enough to set a strong total for the Aussies in the final innings.

This time too, Josh Hazlewood rocked with his pace attack and stole 5 wickets. Australia had a low target of just 26 runs and they chased it down by 10 wickets. Travis Head was awarded player of the match for his match-winning ton in the 1st innings.
