Aussie Player Glenn Maxwell Inks New 4-Year Deal With Melbourne Stars

Melbourne Stars skipper Glenn Maxwell has extended his stay with the franchise after signing a new 4-year contract with the team after the conclusion of the Big Bash League (BBL) XI.

Maxwell scored a stunning 64-ball 154 in his 100th BBL game which was also the last match for the Stars in the previous season. He broke plenty of records en route to getting the highest score in BBL’s history. Speaking about the new contract, Maxwell was elated.

I’m thrilled to commit to the Stars for another 4 seasons. I want to win a BBL title at the Stars and I believe we have the list to do that. We’ve got a really close group with some of the best T20 players in the world and excellent support from the coaching team,” Maxwell said.

Maxwell also asserted that the Stars have a great squad and they have gelled together very well. Along with Maxwell, Stars also has explosive all-rounder, Marcus Stoinis, and prominent leg-spinner, Adam Zampa, amidst its ranks.

Perth Scorchers was crowned as the champions of the BBL XI season after defeating Sydney Sixers by 79 runs in a lop-sided final in Melbourne.
