Nathan Lyon, the off-spinner from Australia continued his prodigy against Indian National Cricket team as he dismissed Murali Vijay with a pearler on day four of the second Test at Perth.

Meanwhile, after a wicketless morning session, Mohammed Shami guided India back into the game. He bagged four wickets in the second session to return with six wickets to skittle the hosts. Jasprit Bumrah also provided good support returning with three wickets to finish off the tail. Usman Khawaja scored 72 runs to lead the Aussies with the bat as they managed to set a target of 287 runs.

With a massive target in sight, India had the worst possible start as they lost KL Rahul in the first over. Things turned sourer for the visitors as they lost inform Cheteshwar Pujara to reel at 13 for two. Following that, Virat Kohli and Murali Vijay tried to stitch a partnership as the Aussies came hard at them.

Murali Vijay, who had an awful tour so far, fought hard to to get his eyes in on a difficult Perth wicket. He left the ball and looked settled when he was undone by a genius from Lyon.

That was one heck of a delivery from Nathan Lyon which landed in the rough outside off and lured the batsman into a cover drive. The ball spun in and traversed the massive gap between bat and pad to strike timber as Murali Vijay looked in surprise. He has been conventional yet threatening to take his name into the history books.
