Australia vs India 2020: Umesh Yadav Ruled Out Of The Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Star Indian pacer, Umesh Yadav has been ruled out of the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Umesh Yadav sustained a calf muscle injury in the second Test of the series. Now, some media reports have confirmed that the pacer has been completely ruled out of the series. Shardul Thakur, T Natarajan, and Navdeep Saini will be among the bowlers who will replace him.

Team India’s injury woes don’t seem to an at the moment. First up, the BCCI ruled out Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar out of the Australian tour. Then, Mohammed Shami sustained an injury in the first Test and got ruled out of the series. Now, Umesh Yadav sustained an injury in the second innings of the Boxing-Day Test and has been ruled out.

Umesh Yadav Ruled Out Of The Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Yadav sustained a calf muscle injury while bowling in the second innings of the Boxing Day Test. He walked back to the pavilion and the BCCI informed that he is undergoing scans. Renowned sports journalist, Boria Majumdar confirmed on Twitter that Umesh Yadav has been ruled out of the remaining series.
