The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced its squads for the 2026–27 domestic season. Ayush Badoni has been named captain of the senior Ranji Trophy team, while Aaryavir Sehwag has been appointed skipper of the Under-19 side.
The senior team will begin its Ranji Trophy campaign against Bengal at Eden Gardens on October 11, while the Under-19 side will start its Vinoo Mankad Trophy campaign against Gujarat in Visakhapatnam on October 8. The senior squad will also report for a practice camp at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 4.
Ayush Badoni Named Delhi Ranji Trophy Captain
Ayush Badoni will lead a 16-member senior squad in Elite Group C, with Yash Dhull appointed his deputy. Anuj Rawat remains the first-choice wicketkeeper, while Pranav Rajvanshi provides another option behind the stumps.
The selection committee, led by K.P. Bhaskar, has made several notable changes. Sarthak Ranjan returns to the Ranji Trophy setup after previously stepping away from four-day cricket, adding another option to the batting group.
Aryan Rana and Rohan Rana have been left out, while Vaibhav Kandpal is also missing after taking a No Objection Certificate (NOC). The squad also includes experienced players such as Navdeep Saini, Simarjeet Singh and Hritik Shokeen.

Aaryavir Sehwag Gets U-19 Captaincy After Strong 2026 Form
Aaryavir Sehwag has been named captain of the 16-member Under-19 squad for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. The young opener recently made his India Under-19 debut during the Youth ODI series against Australia.
Sehwag scored 28 off 26 balls on debut before making 47 off 48 in the second match and 34 off 31 in the third. His biggest domestic performance came in the Cooch Behar Trophy against Meghalaya, where he smashed 297 runs from 309 balls, including 51 boundaries.
Sehwag also featured for West Delhi Lions in the 2026 Delhi Premier League. He scored 22 off 14 balls against the New Delhi Tigers and hit consecutive boundaries against senior paceman Navdeep Saini.

Delhi Begin Vinoo Mankad Trophy Campaign in Visakhapatnam
The Under-19 team is placed in Elite Group E for the 2026–27 Vinoo Mankad Trophy, with all five group matches scheduled in Visakhapatnam. The campaign begins against Gujarat on October 8.
The qualification rules leave little room for error. The team finishing top of Elite Group E will qualify directly for the quarter-finals, while the second-placed team will enter the pre-quarter-final stage.
The senior team will, meanwhile, begin preparations under chief coach Vijay Dahiya, with all selected players required to report at the Arun Jaitley Stadium at 8:00 AM on October 4. The Ranji Trophy campaign will then begin seven days later against Bengal at Eden Gardens.
