Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez shared a cryptic post on social media after the Men in Green got eliminated from the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. Mohammad Hafeez's post has gone viral on social media after the Babar Azam-led team failed to advance to the Super 8 stage of the ICC tournament.

Pakistan was eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2024 following the match between the United States of America (USA) and Ireland, which was washed out due to rain in Florida. The USA team became the second team after the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team to advance to the Super 8 stage from the Group A table.

The Monank Patel-led side advanced to the Super 8 stage with five points from four games. Pakistan, with only two points from three games, cannot advance even if they win their final match against Ireland. The Babar Azam-led team will finish their World Cup campaign against Ireland in Florida on Sunday, June 16.

Time To Present The Sacrificial Animals - Mohammad Hafeez

Mohammad Hafeez criticized the national team after their exit from the T20 World Cup 2024. He shared a cryptic post on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), writing, "Qurbani Kay Janwar Hazir Hon (Time to present the sacrificial animals)" with a Pakistan cricket hashtag.

Pakistan suffered a shocking defeat against the USA in a Super Over during their opening game in Dallas. The Babar Azam-led team then faced a narrow defeat against India in New York as they failed to chase a target of 120. These consecutive losses dented Pakistan's chances of advancing to the Super 8 stage.

The USA started the tournament strong with a convincing win over Canada, followed by a victory against Pakistan. They delivered a competitive performance against title contender India. Their final group stage match against Ireland was abandoned due to a tropical thunderstorm and heavy rain in Florida on Friday.

Reactions from Kamran Akmal and Ahmad Shahzad After Pakistan's Exit

Former cricketer Kamran Akmal criticized the team for their subpar performance, expressing disappointment over their failure to reach the Super Eight. Akmal emphasized the need for the team to address their issues and improve moving forward.

"It is really very disappointing and sad that Pakistan team could not reach to the Super Eight, but it is also a bitter fact that Pakistan team played below the average cricket...now its time to rectify the problems," Kamran Akmal said on Twitter.

Ahmed Shehzad emphasized that only deserving teams should advance to the Super 8 round. The former World Cup-winning player criticized the practice of relying on other teams to determine qualification, stating it lacks merit. Shahzad said that all eyes are now on the PCB chairman following Pakistan's exit.

"The deserving team is through to Super 8 round. If you're depending on Ireland to defeat someone, you seriously don't deserve to qualify. Don't think even "Kudrat Ka Nizam" works for those who are not deserving or ready to improve. All eyes on PCB chairman now," Ahmed Shehzad wrote.
