The International League T20 (ILT20) Season 5 auction is set to be a star-studded event, with 200 cricketers from 23 countries registering for the auction. Several big international names, including Babar Azam, Faf du Plessis, Liam Livingstone, and Wanindu Hasaranga, are among the players in the auction pool for the ILT20 2026.
The auction will be held at the ICC Academy Indoors in Dubai on October 1, with the fifth ILT20 season scheduled from November 22 to December 20 in the UAE. A total of 17 Pakistan players have also registered for the International League T20 auction. Amid this, Zak Crawley returns to Perth Scorchers ahead of BBL 2026-27.
Babar Azam, Faf du Plessis and Livingstone Headline star-studded ILT20 Auction list
A total of 200 players from 23 countries are part of the ILT20 auction list, including players from 11 ICC Full Member nations, along with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Murugan Ashwin is the only Indian player in the auction because active Indian cricketers cannot play in overseas leagues.
The list includes some of the biggest names in world cricket, including Babar Azam, Phil Salt, Tom Banton, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Alzarri Joseph, Faf du Plessis, Liam Livingstone, and Wanindu Hasaranga. Apart from them, Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Alex Hales, Chris Woakes, and Dasun Shanaka are also eyeing the opportunity to play in the UAE’s franchise league.
17 Pakistan players in ILT20 Auction
Babar Azam is among 17 Pakistan players who have registered for the player auction. Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, Usman Tariq, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, Hassan Nawaz, Mohammad Nawaz, Saim Ayub, Khushdil Shah, Maaz Sadaqat, and Sahibzada Farhan are also in the pool.
The base prices have been divided into three slabs of USD 80,000, USD 40,000, and USD 10,000. Babar, Salt, Banton, David Willey, Fakhar, Gurbaz, Usman Tariq, Bairstow, Moeen, Livingstone, Alzarri, Hasaranga, Faf, Taskin Ahmed, Hales, Naseem, Sahibzada Farhan, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Woakes and Shanaka are in the highest USD 80,000 bracket.
Other players in the auction include Jayden Seales, Ibrahim Zadran, Shadab Khan, Tabraiz Shamsi, Avishka Fernando, Hassan Nawaz, Shoriful Islam, Maaz Sadaqat, Kusal Perera, Gulbadin Naib, Chris Green, Andre Fletcher, and Hunain Shah. MI Emirates has the biggest purse
Each franchise will start the auction with USD 1.3 million, along with any unused money from the USD 700,000 pre-auction signing allocation. MI Emirates has the biggest purse at USD 1.39 million.
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have USD 1.365 million, while Desert Vipers and Gulf Giants have USD 1.305 million each. Dubai Capitals and Sharjah Warriors have already used their full USD 700,000 pre-auction allocation and will enter the auction with USD 1.3 million each.
ILT20 Auction rules revealed
Every franchise can use one Right to Match option on a UAE player who either represented the team in Season 4 or played for them in the recent Development Tournament. Each team must have at least 18 and a maximum of 23 players.
The squad must include at least 11 players from ICC Full Member countries, including a minimum of four from Afghanistan and one from Ireland.
Teams must also have at least four UAE players, one player from Kuwait, one from Saudi Arabia, and one additional player from an ICC Associate country, excluding the UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
