BAN vs AFG: Watch - Ibrahim Zadran Brings Afghanistan Back In Game With His Stunning Diving Catch In Slips To Send Towhid Hridoy Packing

Bangladesh and Afghanistan are currently locking horns with each other in the 4th game of the Asia Cup 2023 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led have asserted their authority in the game within the first few overs after being taken to the cleaners initially.

Afghanistan have picked two quick wickets after Bangladesh were off to a flying start. Mujeeb Ur Rahman removed Mohammad Naim for 28 runs as he went through his defense and rattled his stumps. Gulabadin Naib supported him well in the next over as he removed Towhid Hridoy. 

Gulbadin Naib bowled a fuller delivery to which Towhid Hridoy tried to drive. The ball nibbled slightly and took the outside edge of the bat. The ball went in a flash to the slips and Ibrahim Zadran reacted late but he dived to perfection and plucked a great catch.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss against Afghanistan and opted to bat first. There was a slight change in the opening partnership for them as Mohammad Naim was accompanied by Mehidy Hasan Miraz at the top. The duo stitched a quick-fire 60-run partnership. 

Afghanistan picked two back-to-back wickets and the game now hangs pretty much in balance. For Bangladesh, it’s a knockout game as they have lost against Sri Lanka and a loss in the game would eliminate them from the tournament.
