Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq was teased by fans during the ICC World Cup 2023 game against Bangladesh. The match took place at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala and it wasn’t the greatest of outings for the Afghans.
The crowd at the stadium too wasn’t in their favour as their pacer Naveen-ul-Haq didn’t receive a great welcome from the crowd in India. The fast bowler was teased with the chants of “Kohli Kohli” as he was fielding near the boundary ropes in Dharamsala.

For this reference, Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq had a verbal spat with each other during the game between LSG and RCB in Lucknow. The two players had some harsh words to say to each other and since then whenever the fast bowler has stepped on the field, the crowds have taken a dig at him.
Naveen-ul-Haq on an individual note had a decent outing with the ball as he picked one wicket in the game and was economical too. He conceded 31 runs in the 5.4 overs that he bowled in the game.
Coming to the match, Afghanistan didn’t have a great outing with the ball as they were bundled out for just 156 runs. With the ball they picked up 4 wickets but the runs were not enough for them on the board to defend.
Naveen-ul-Haq Announces Retirement from ODIs
The ICC World Cup 2023 will be the last time when Naveen-ul-Haq will be seen in action in ODIs. He recently announced his decision to retire from the ODIs through his Instagram page.
