Afghanistan have started the big chase of 335 runs on a decent note as they are putting up a good fight. Rahmat Shah and Ibrahim Zadran in particular looked pleasing to the eyes but Taskin Ahmed broke the partnership to bring Bangladesh back in the game.

After Afghanistan lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz early, Rahmat Shah along with Ibrahim Zadran steadied the ship and stitched a crucial partnership. They played the situation well and made sure that their team was very much there in the game.

Rahmat Shah played pretty well till the point he got out but he would be livid with himself with the way he got out. The batter threw his wicket as he played a wild slog after getting set. His wicket certainly put Afghanistan on the back foot.

Taskin Ahmed bowled a back-of-a-length delivery that was slanting in. The batter tried to slog across the line. He ended up playing all over it and the ball crashed into the top of the off-stump. Here’s the video of Rahmat Shah getting out:

Rahmat Shah looked solid with the bat. He scored 33 runs off 57 balls. He also smashed five boundaries in his innings. He along with Ibrahim Zadran shared a 78-run partnership and brought Afghanistan back into the game after an early wicket.

BAN vs AFG: Ibrahim Zadran also got out after Rahmat Shah

After the wicket of Rahmat Shah, Ibrahim Zadran took responsibility and ensured that Afghanistan stay very much in the game. The batter smashed a magnificent half-century and batted quite sensibly.

With the way he was batting it looked like Afghanistan will be home quite easily. However, it didn’t happen as he was cleaned up by Hasan Mahmud in the 28th over for 75 as Mushfiqur Rahim took a sensational catch behind the wickets.
