The match starts at 1.30 pm IST which is 2 pm local time. All three matches will be played in Dhaka giving the hosts the perfect opportunity to prepare in relatable conditions before the World Cup.

Bangladesh are led by Litton Das in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan who has been rested for the series. Maumudullah and Tamim Iqbal return to the ODI side. While Mahmudullah played the last ODI series against England at home, Tamim returned after recovering from a back injury. In between he retired and unretired himself from international cricket.

New Zealand, on the other hand, are led by Lockie Ferguson. He is potentially leading a second-string New Zealand squad with all the big players rested. Trent Boult is the only player from the England side who has been retained for the Bangladesh side along with skipper Ferguson. Tim Southee will be undergoing surgery after dislocating his right thumb in the fourth ODI against England. The side is returning from a 3-1 series defeat against the World Champions and will be tested by spin.

New Zealand lost an ODI series 3-1 to England while Bangladesh endured another disappointing Asia Cup campaign. Playing at home, the Tigers have an advantage as they know the conditions. The Kiwis with a second-string batting unit will be tested by spin. The series is a good opportunity for the Tigers to topple New Zealand at home.
