Chasing the target, the opening duo of Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar provided the hosts with a great start. They both looked brilliant in the middle and Sarkar even got lucky when the third umpire ruled a decision in his favour even when there was a clear spike on the UltraEdge.

Litton Das smashed 36 runs off 24 balls, with 5 fours and 1 six, while Soumya Sarkar scored 26 runs off 22 balls, with 5 fours. The openers added 68 runs in 41 balls to push the Lankan Lions on the back foot.

The rest of the job was done by Najmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy. The No.3 and No.4 batters played cautiously and hit the boundaries when it was needed to keep the run rate in control. They added an unbeaten 87 runs in 55 balls to steer their side to a win.
