BAN vs SL: Watch - Taskin Ahmed Rattles Dimuth Karunaratne's Stumps With A Snorter In Asia Cup 2023

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed has made sure that his side leaves no stone unturned in defending the low total in the second game of the Asia Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side posted just 164 runs but they have come with great intensity with the ball. 

Taskin Ahmed has so far looked extremely threatening as he has made the ball talk and has challenged the Sri Lankan batter. The pacer after a testing first over of the innings drew the first blood for his team and took them off the flier. 

Taskin Ahmed made Dimuth Karunaratne look clueless and sent him packing for just 1 run. The pacer produced a peach off a delivery that opened up the Sri Lankan opener in all sorts and saw him getting bowled. The pace of the ball also worked for the bowler and sent a strong message that they weren’t taking the match easily. 

Taskin Ahmed bowled a fuller-length ball that swung in. Dimuth Karunaratne tried to drive it down the ground but the ball went through the gap between his bat and pad to shatter the stumps. The pacer got pumped up after the wicket as well.

Taskin Ahmed bowled a maiden wicket over and instilled a belief in his side that the game wasn’t over yet. With the way he’s bowling, it’s fair to say that the game will go down the wire and anyone can win. 

BAN vs SL: Shoriful Islam compliments Taskin Ahmed well as he removes Pathum Nissanka 

After Taskin Ahmed bowled a maiden wicket, Shoriful Islam complimented him well in the next over as he removed Pathum Nissanka for 14 runs. His blow saw Sri Lanka clattering at 15/2 inside 4 overs. 

Shoriful Islam bowled the back of a length ball seaming ball. Pathum Nissanka went for the cut shot but he only managed to find the outside edge. Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur got low and took a smart catch to his right to send the batter packing.
