BAN vs ZIM Scorecard, 2nd T20I Highlights: Taskin Ahmed, and Towhid Hridoy star for Bangladesh in their brilliant win over Zimbabwe

Bangladesh National Cricket Team and Zimbabwe National Cricket Team crossed swords with each other in the 2nd game of the T20I series. The match between the two teams took place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday (5th May). 

Bangladesh National Cricket Team produced a brilliant effort with the bat and ball in the second T20I against Zimbabwe. They won the game by 6 wickets and registered their second consecutive win of the series, taking an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.

The Zimbabwe National Cricket Team were asked to bat first and it wasn't a great start for them with the bat. Tadiwanashe Marumani (2) perished early without scoring much. Joylord Gumbie (17) got started but he also fell early. 

A similar story unfolded with Craig Evans (13). Things got worse for Zimbabwe when after that they lost skipper Sikander Raza and Clive Madande as well. Bangladesh bowlers were all over the batters as the visitors were left tottering at 42/5 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. 

With the team under immense pressure, Brian Bennet (44*) and Jonathan Campbell (45) joined hands together and bailed the team out of trouble. They took the attack to the Bangladesh bowlers and made sure that they got some quick runs for the team, taking them to a decent total. 

The duo added 73 runs and put their team in a great position. However, they couldn't carry on as Bangladesh kept chipping with vital wickets. Based on their vital partnership with the bat, Zimbabwe posted a total of 138 runs on the board at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. 

For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/18. Rishad Hossain also bagged two wickets whereas the rest of the bowlers chipped in with one each as they restricted Zimbabwe to a total under 150.

BAN vs ZIM, 2nd T20I - Bangladesh innings: Towhid Hridoy leads the charge as Bangladesh chase the target with ease 

Bangladesh had a decent start to their innings. Litton Das (23) and Tanzid Hasan (18) scored 41 runs for the opening partnership. Even though they lost wickets early, they gave a great platform to the team in the chase at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. 

Towhid Hridoy (37*) then held the one end and made sure that he took his team home. Najmul Hossain Shanto (16), Jake Ali (13), and Mahmudullah (26*) supported him well as Bangladesh chased the target with 6 wickets in hand and 9 balls to spare.
