David Hemp has already been associated with Bangladesh Cricket for a while now. He has been the team’s High-Performance Head Coach since May 2023. He served as the batting coach of the team as well when Bangladesh toured New Zealand last year.
He has been a former international player for Bermuda and had a sensational record in first-class cricket. He played for Glamorgan, Free State, and Warwickshire and massed over 15,500 runs to his name. He also has great coaching experience as he obtained an ECB Level 4 Coaching Certification.
David Hemp also served as the head coach of the Pakistan Women’s National Team from 2020-2022. Apart from this, he also has head coach for the Victoria State Women’s Team, and the Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League. His experience would be vital for the Bangladesh team as well.
Apart from him, Andre Adams will be joining as the bowling coach. The former New Zealand international has possessed great experience as a coach as he held the position of White Ferns bowling coach before joining Bangladesh.
Andre Adams also served as a bowling coach of the New Zealand men’s team in the recent T20I series against Pakistan. He also was Australia’s Assistant Coach in their 2022-23 series against South Africa. The former Kiwi player also was the head bowling coach of New South Wales Blues in the Australian Sheffield Shield from 2018 to 2023.
Bangladesh of late haven’t had a great time but now under the new coaching staff and also the New skipper, they would be hoping to turn things around. It will be a new era for the team and now they would be hoping to stake their claim back.
