Bangladesh National Cricket Team will begin their World Cup 2027 campaign against England in Windhoek on October 8. Their Group B schedule then takes them to KuGompo City, Durban, Durban again and Tshwane for the final match against Qualifier B.
Bangladesh are grouped with England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Qualifier B. They are not among the seven teams currently assigned Super 7 seeds, so their post-Group Stage fixture pathway will depend on the position they inherit if they qualify.
Bangladesh’s World Cup 2027 Schedule and Complete Fixtures
Bangladesh open against England in Windhoek on October 8. Their second match is against New Zealand in KuGompo City on October 12.
They then face Sri Lanka in Durban on October 16 and South Africa at the same venue on October 19. Bangladesh's final Group Stage fixture is against Qualifier B in Tshwane on October 23.
Bangladesh’s Group Stage fixtures:
October 8: England vs Bangladesh, Windhoek
October 12: New Zealand vs Bangladesh, KuGompo City
October 16: Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, Durban
October 19: South Africa vs Bangladesh, Durban
October 23: Bangladesh vs Qualifier B, Tshwane
Their schedule therefore includes four matches against teams from the established Group B lineup, with Qualifier B closing their Group Stage campaign.
Bangladesh’s Group Stage Opponents, Dates and Venues
The England opener gives Bangladesh an immediate fixture against a side that has been pre-seeded for the Super 7. New Zealand will be their second opponent before they face Sri Lanka and South Africa in Durban.
The final match against Qualifier B takes place in Tshwane on October 23, one day before the Group Stage concludes with Zimbabwe versus India.
Bangladesh will need to finish among the top three in Group B or be the better fourth-placed team across the two groups to reach the Super 7.
Bangladesh’s Route From the Group Stage to the World Cup Final
Bangladesh do not currently have a designated Super 7 seed. If they qualify while a pre-seeded team does not, Bangladesh will take over that team's position and inherit its scheduled Super 7 fixtures.
The ICC has already outlined six-match pathways for the seven seeded positions from October 25 to November 14. For example, the B3 position currently assigned to Sri Lanka has matches against Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Pakistan and India. A qualifying Bangladesh side could inherit that pathway if it displaces Sri Lanka.
The top four teams after the Super 7 qualify for the semi-finals, with the knockout matches scheduled for November 17 and 18. The final will be played in Johannesburg on November 21.
