Openers: Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon
The Bangla Tigers have a bright chance of winning the ongoing three-match series against Afghanistan by a margin of three matches to none if they can win the third and final game of the series.
For that to happen, the Bengal Tigers will have to replicate the same performance the team gave in the first two matches.
The batters did just enough in the matches in question to get the team over the line and would want to keep up the good work. Bangladesh will open the batting with Tanzid Hasan Tamin and Parvez Hossain.
Both batters would like to get back among runs after getting out after scoring two runs each in the last match.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Saif Hassan, Jaker Ali (wk & c), Nurul Hasan, Shamim Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Rishad Hossain
The opening duo will be followed by a middle order that has bailed the team out of trouble on many occasions in the recent past, but would hope that that isn't the case in the upcoming match.
The middle order would wish for the openers to provide a good platform for them to capitalize on as they did in the first match, which led to Bangladesh winning the game despite losing its way in the middle overs.
Having said that, the captain and the team management would be happy with the way a relatively inexperienced group of batters in the middle order put their hands up and helped the team register a nervy win in the second game.
The chase was led by captain Jaker Ali, who got the company of Samim Hossain as the duo added vital runs for the fourth wicket, with the rest of the work done by the depth in Bangladesh's batting order.
Jaker Ali would wish for the batters to have a good outing in the third match of the series as well.
Bowlers: Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam
As far as the bowling attack is concerned, it has been in good form in the first two matches of the ongoing series and would like to carry that form into the third and final game of the series.
The responsibility will be on Shoriful Islam and Nasum Ahmed to pick wickets with the new ball, as it is them who bowl in the first six overs consistently, along with Mustafizur Rahman, who also delivers one over in that period.
In addition to bowling an over in the powerplay, the experienced fast bowler also bowls one over in the middle while the captain trusts him to come good with a couple of overs at the backend of the innings.
Rishad Hossain, who is the other specialist spinner in the playing XI along with Nasum Ahmed, will be entrusted to pick wickets in the middle overs.
