A shocking yet hilarious broadcasting mistake during the first Test match between the Pakistan national cricket team and the Bangladesh national cricket team has gone massively viral on social media and left fans completely stunned on Saturday, May 9.

During the live telecast from Dhaka, fans suddenly saw Team India players appearing on the screen instead of Pakistan’s playing XI during the BAN vs PAK Test match coverage. And within minutes, screenshots and video clips went viral across the social media platforms.

During the live telecast, the broadcaster was trying to show Pakistan players and their Test records, but the graphic accidentally displayed Indian cricketers instead. The graphic surprisingly featured names like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, and Axar Patel, among other Indian players, while no Pakistani player appeared in the lineup at all.

The bizarre mix-up quickly became one of the biggest talking points from the Dhaka Test. Social media was flooded with memes, jokes, and reactions, with many fans laughing at the shocking error. Some users joked that Indian cricket had somehow entered the Pakistan-Bangladesh Test match without even being part of the series.

Pakistan fans angry over the possible technical error

At the same time, some Pakistan fans were reportedly upset over the incident and questioned how such a big mistake could happen during an international match broadcast. A few supporters even accused the broadcaster of poor handling and carelessness during live coverage.

However, it is being said that the mistake may have happened because of a technical issue or the wrong graphic template being used during the live telecast. Even though such errors are rare in international cricket, this particular blunder grabbed huge attention because of the unexpected appearance of Team India players during a Pakistan Test match.

Both the Pakistan and Bangladesh teams returned to Test cricket after spending a long time focusing on T20 matches. Pakistan had also recently finished the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

However, Babar Azam missed the first Test because of a knee injury, although some reports claimed he was dropped from the team. Earlier, Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bowl first against Bangladesh.
