Australian cricketer Chris Lynn is currently playing for the Adelaide Strikers in the BBL. His team is placed fourth on the points table having played just one game in the season so far. They earned a point after the first game ended with no result.

Chris Lynn is the only player in BBL history to have scored more than 3000 runs, having made all of them for Heat in 105 matches but managed just 215 runs in 12 matches last season. He has also captained the club 50 times, more than any other player.

His club the Adelaide Strikers did not have a good start to the season with the first game being abandoned. However, for Lynn, there is something to be happy about. The Australian cricketer was chosen as the man with the best hairstyle in BBL 13. Interestingly it was the players playing in the league who voted for him. He contested alongside Chris Green, Ashton Agar, Spencer Johnson, and Liam Doddrell. Among all of them, Chris Lynn and Agar are men with no hair.

Lynn made his reputation in the BBL playing for the Brisbane Heat scoring more than 3000 runs for the club in 100 innings at an average of 34.54 and a strike rate touching 150. Overall, Lynn has scored 3,421 runs in 113 matches with 27 fifties and one hundred at a strike rate of 147.84. He has hit 194 sixes and is six short of getting to 200 BBL sixes. He is the highest scorer in BBL to date.

He was one of the players who played for 11 seasons with Brisbane Heat. By his own admission, it was a tough decision after Lynn was offered a lucrative contract by the Strikers. He left Brisbane Heat after they finished seven in the 2021-22 season winning just three games that season and losing 11.

“It’s not a decision that has come easily to the Heat by any means. Chris Lynn and his feats have made an indelible impression on the club, and his efforts over more than a decade can rightly be said to have had an enormously positive effect on cricket” Queensland Cricket and Brisbane Heat CEO Terry Svenson said.

“We should gratefully acknowledge the influence he has had on a generation of kids who have grown up thrilled by his batting exploits. His appearance in a teal jumper each year would no doubt be linked by many households to the onset of their holidays, with the BBL being such an integral part of summer holidays” he further said.

“The Heat wish him nothing but the best for the future as he transitions into another phase of his career and thank him wholeheartedly for his commitment to the game in Queensland,” Terry Svenson said on Lynn’s time with the Heat.

Meanwhile, Chris Lynn also played in the IPL between 2014-2021. He played 42 matches in the IPL scoring nearly 1500 runs at an average of 34.08 and a strike rate of 140.63 with 10 fifties. Lynn played his best for KKR scoring 1274 runs in 40 games with 10 fifties scoring at 141.40.
