The BCCI, on Monday (April 21), announced the list of centrally contracted players for the 2024-25 season. A total of 34 players have received central contracts, while seven of them have earned the contracts for the first time.

The highlight of the new additions is the inclusion of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. Both players had lost their central contracts last season after reportedly refusing to play domestic cricket. However, the BCCI has handed them the contracts for the ongoing season.

The players have been divided into four categories - A+, A, B, and C. Players in the top category earn INR 7 crore per season, while those with Grade A contracts get INR 5 crore. The players in the Grade B and C categories get INR 3 crore and INR 1 crore, respectively.
